Yoga and I first met in India in the early spring of 2010. It was my first step into Eastern philosophy and asana practice. I continued my yoga journey when I traveled to Nepal at the beginning of the summer of 2011. After a vipassana, I delved deeper into the religious aspects of yoga, Sutras, and breathwork.
Since 2011, I have practiced Ashtanga yoga and walked my path with the Yogi's philosophy. I always say that yoga practice begins long before you step onto the mat and never ends when you leave the class.
Yoga for me, is a path of patience, tolerance, non-judgment, and balance. It's the way I respond to the world. Yoga is the union of mind, body, and breath, and it's the connection between the inner light and the vastness of outer darkness of the cosmos.
Follow traditional breathwork, which I believe is the most important aspect of yoga. Surya Namaskar and Chandra Namaskar play a major role in my practice. By guiding a slow practice that can evolve into a flow, with options for different levels of yogis, I strongly believe that everyone can find a path to their heart through yoga.
